I Surrender All
'I surrender All, I'll follow you. I surrender All, bring my life to you. I surrender all. Live my life for you. I Surrender All. I Surrender All.. To you Jesus'
This song never fails to minister to me. I prefer the audio version of it though.
Life as a Christian is one of constant surrender and waiting upon God. It it is so easy to allow the things of the world or any other thing capture my heart. Thus, there is a constant need to surrender and consecrate myself unto God (Esp in the area of r/s).
I've also learnt that waiting upon God is a lifelong process: Waiting upon Him, being sensitive to His voice and moving in obedience once/whenever He calls.
Motives
In my pursuit of purity, I have to admit that I do find it hard to discern sins in my life. I think that it's because I tend to generalise sins to the 'obvious' sins, such as stealing, lying, immorality etc. However, I'm becoming increasingly convicted that my motives for doing certain things may actually constitute sin in my life. Wrong motives prevent me from having a heart of purity.
'All a man's ways seem innocent to him, but motives are weighed by the Lord.' Proverbs 16:2
'Therefore judge nothing before the appointed time; wait till the Lord comes. He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will expose the motives of men's hearts. At that time, each will receive his praise from God.' 1Cor 4:5

Expanding My Horizon
You have inspired me to reflect more, question more, challenge my perspectives and be more aware of how God is moving across the nations.
